Here Ye, Here Ye!
 
Once upon a time in a land we call home,
there lived a knight who was all alone.
 
But alas, he had his trusty sword.
It made him feel strong when he explored.
Fear not!  He also had a shield
he used for protection when foes did not yield.  
 
He believed his sword to be his power.
He believed his shield to be his protector.
The three were never separate,
always together.
 
Until one day, when the knight awoke
to find both his sword and shield had been taken.
The knight was beside himself
to discover this as he awakened.
 
He knew not what he would do.
He had never been without the two.
He ventured out on this solemn day
all alone to his dismay.
 
Upon encountering his first foe
he defended himself with honor and integrity.
He did so without
his sword or shield, easily.
 
He soon realized
that the power he attributed to his sword was his own,
and his shield only offered protection
because it was wielded by him, alone.
 
And so, let it be told!
Chivalry is not dead! 
We each have the power within,
do not be misled.
 
All ye, mark and remember, 
that this knight, who was once all alone,
learned this valuable lesson
which earned him the throne.
 
He was revered by all across the land
and his kingdom did not fall, 
because he ruled fairly, all for one,
and one for all.
